Since the age of 17, Jorge Ferrer has demonstrated an unwavering passion for innovation. He began his career in the communications industry, working with pagers and cellphones at 18. Later, he leveraged his logistics experience to establish a company specializing in maritime transport. During his years in Italy, Jorge combined his knowledge of international business with his passion for architecture and design.
In 2002, he founded East Coast Medical Rehab, a rehabilitation clinic offering neurological, chiropractic, and physical therapies. In 2009, Jorge launched Super Golazo, a soccer club that continues to be a vibrant space for players of all ages.
Currently, Jorge is revolutionizing the interior design and architecture industries with Empoli VR and Empoli AI, integrating technology and artificial intelligence to transform 2D renderings into immersive 3D visualizations.
Family
Jorge is the proud father of Valentina, Arianna, and Julian, who have transformed his outlook on life. He has learned that true value lies in the journey, not just the destination. He strives to raise ethical members of society by embracing the five love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service, and physical touch.
The mantra “faster than a New York minute” once defined his life, but his children taught him the importance of slowing down and savoring every moment.
Faith
In December 2022, Jorge faced a pivotal moment in his life with a diagnosis of stage 2 prostate cancer. Rather than acting immediately, he chose to reflect and seek spiritual guidance, postponing surgery until February 2023. This period of prayer and introspection highlighted his unwavering faith, a cornerstone of his life philosophy.
On the morning of his surgery, a profound experience underscored Jorge's belief in divine presence. As his family accompanied him to the hospital, his sister-in-law noticed his initials formed among the clouds, a sight that left everyone in awe. Upon arriving at the hospital and looking up once more, the word "JESUS" appeared in the sky. While some might dismiss this as coincidence, for those present, it was a deeply moving and unexplained moment that reinforced their faith and hope.
Jorge's cancer diagnosis, rather than being solely a challenge, became a catalyst for spiritual growth. Viewing it as a gift from the Lord, it served to deepen his gratitude, strengthen his faith, and reaffirm his commitment to a life guided by purpose and devotion. Through this journey, Jorge exemplifies the resilience and grace that come from a life firmly rooted in faith and trust in a higher plan.
Philanthropy
While living in South Florida and experiencing an unprecedented financial upswing, Jorge chose to engage more deeply in philanthropy. He raised funds for the Wonderfund of the Jackson Health Foundation, which focused on helping children from Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean, who needed emergency life-saving surgeries. Thanks to these fundraising efforts, several successful surgeries were performed on children diagnosed with Retinoblastomas and Astrocytomas.
In 2016, Jorge was invited by TECHO US, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing for the extremely poor in informal settlements. Since its founding in 1997, the organization has taken a hands-on approach to building homes. Jorge had the opportunity to travel to Haiti, where he donated and helped build one home and donated for another. This experience motivated him to embark on a more ambitious journey to provide affordable housing in the United States and make further housing donations in Colombia.
Business
Always thinking outside the box, Jorge has founded multiple innovative businesses. With Empoli VR and Empoli AI, he integrates cutting-edge technology to optimize real estate projects and minimize errors. His disruptive vision is transforming how design and logistics are managed in architectural projects.
His love for sports led to the creation of Super Golazo, while his passion for rehabilitation resulted in the founding of East Coast Medical Rehab, thriving for over 20 years.
